Apart from his original compositions, Larry’s arrangements and orchestrations have been heard in some of NYC’s top music venues —including Birdland, Don’t Tell Mama’s, and Joe’s Pub. He was the conductor and orchestrator for We Tell The Story: The Songs of Ahrens and Flaherty (Lucille Lortel Theatre) — which featured, among others, Roger Rees and Kenita Miller.
Upcoming projects include the world premiere of his one-act opera, Obesa Cantavit: The True Tale of a Music Legend and the Sandwich Who Loved Her, and further development of the musical Wonder Pig, with frequent collaborators Brian Silliman and Amanda Morton.
When not composing, Larry is the Director of Music and Materials for Music Theatre International, the world’s leading licensing house for musical theatre. As part of his position there, Larry has had the privilege to work closely with some of the most prominent composers, lyricists, and bookwriters in the business — many of them personal heroes. If he listed them, he’d look like a name-dropping douche bag.....but truly, they’re amazing.
Other random achievements include contributing an arrangement to President Obama’s Inaugural celebration, and co-founding (with Amanda Morton) Mad Tea Music, a company focused on music production, copying, and professional recording services.
